How to Reduce Spam

Problem: SPAM

We know people who must filter through over a hundred spam emails a day. You may wonder how spammers get your email address in the first place. There are several ways;

* Signing up for free stuff on the Internet
* People who forward funny (or political) emails without using the Blind Carbon Copy (Bcc) field in their email client.
* Posting your email address on your website. Web spiders crawl the internet looking for and collecting anything connected to the @ symbol.

The first two are under your control, however we have a solution to the third. You may be asking, "Well, if I can't put my email on my website, how are people to know they can email me?"

Solution: FORMS

We use what is called a "Captcha" on our forms. What that means is people must add a simple math equation such as 1 + 4 = ?, or repeat a set of letters, in order to submit a Contact Form. This ensures you only get email from real human beings.
