VSA Arts of Minnesota
VSA Arts is an organization that works to create a community where people with disabilities can learn through, participate in and access to the arts. Webtasia Design acted in the role of project manager utilizing 2 Interns from Hennepin Technical College. VSA wanted a visually attractive site that was accessible to people with all types of disabilities.
The banner utilizes the artwork of VSA Arts' own clients. VSA Arts wanted a website that kept them in touch with their clients. We converted their paper newsletter, including all back copies, to an electronic version saving them a huge portion of their printing costs. They also wanted a listing to announce when theater were providing accommodations at performances for auditory and visually impaired clients.
One intern, Britta Beeck, stayed on with VSA as their web master, continuing to develop the web site into what it is today.
Minnesota Association for Continuing Adult Education
Minnesota Association for Continuing Adult Education (MACAE) is a statewide organization of professionals who practice the principles of adult education.
Out of the need for a new website, MNMACAE coordinated a development project with John Simmer, instructor of a Graduate level course entitled Writing and Designing for the Web (Writ 573) at Metropolitan State University, St. Paul, MN. Four teams within the class were established and charged with designing a completely new website for MNMACAE. Text content was provided, much of which was re-written, re-organized and formatted to best suite the needs of the client. All other aspects of the website were developed and deployed entirely by the design teams. This included: site structure, graphics, web coding and menu system, as well as search engine strategy.
Kane Protective Coatings
Kane Protective Coatings is a certified, service-oriented company specializing exclusively in the application of high quality protective coatings for industrial and marine environments.
